Prof Rita Li works in the Department of Economics and Finance at Hong Kong Shue Yan University. She is the Director of the Master of Science in FinTech Management (https://ef.hksyu.edu//ef/documents/Msc-FTM_brochure_2026-27_with_programme_QR_code.pdf) and Director of the Sustainable Real Estate Research Center. She has an extensive academic network with research collaborators from Ghana, Australia, the UK, Italy, the US, Cyprus, France, Canada, Thailand, Malaysia, Turkey, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Spain, Pakistan, mainland China, etc. She is also an invited keynote speaker at over 30 conferences, and has an H-index of 51 on Google Scholar (R.Li - Google) as of March 2026. She serves as the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Sustainable Real Estate and Construction Economics (https://www.inderscience.com/jhome.php?jcode=ijsrece).
Over the years, she has won many local and international awards. She acts as a PI and co-I for many academic research grants (over 40 million Hong Kong dollars), including highly competitive grants from the Research Grant Council, Enhancement and Start-up Grant Scheme for Self-financing Post-secondary Education and Public Policy Research Grant in Hong Kong, the ARC Linkage Grant in Australia, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, various grants from People’s Republic of China and other grants obtained from quasi-public institutions and government departments.
